The work describes the distinctive features of the tourist cluster and tourist features of the economy of the states of the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea (the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkmenistan). A brief assessment of the security of tourist criteria for visiting these states and the Caspian region was given. Experts of the medical service firm International SOS have collected an interactive map of the planet, where the most unsafe and non - dangerous states are marked for travel purposes in 2018. Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan together with the Russian Federation found themselves in the zone of countries with a mediocre degree of security. Terrorism, insurgency, war, public tensions and the general crime rate were also taken into account in determining the degrees of threat.
