To create geobrending plays special role event tourism. Event tourism - this kind of tourism, which includes in addition to the traditional holiday, participate in the most exciting events in the region, where a wonderful opportunity to witness the major events in the field of sports, culture and art. The main components of the territory brand are: geographic location, geopolitical role, natural resource potential, national and cultural peculiarities. Geobrending territories are actual direction of the modern economy. Tourist geobrending allows communication technologies, economic, social, cultural and political resources, aimed at creating an attractive image of the territory for tourists, investors, businessmen, residents themselves and new immigrants. Astrakhan has a favorable geopolitical position, increasing the socio-economic potential of the region. Availability of rich historical and cultural traditions is good prerequisites for maintaining the status of the world's tourist center of southern Russia. Development of scientific potential interaction of Astrakhan State University with the cultural, social, political and economic opportunities of the city and districts will generate sustainable attractive image of the region as a tourist destination geobrendinga system.
