Volga-Akhtuba rivers located within the highly prospective area south-western sector of the Caspian basin. The main prospects of hydrocarbon exploration in the Caspian Astrakhan associated with subsalt Paleozoic sediments. In terms of the Paleozoic reservoirs are installed on the Upper Devonian to Early Permian. These sediments were established oil and gas indications in the process of drilling and testing for the column.
