Extraction of organosulfur compounds by n-methylpyrrolidone from model hydrocarbone mixture

The solvent extraction of the sulfur-containing compounds with various structures of different structures from the model heptane - isooctane mixture by N-methylpyrrolidone was studied. It was found that the maximum degree of recovery is observed for aromatic organosulfur compounds. The presence of water in the selective solvent can increase the yield of the raffinate at sufficiently high recovery of sulfur compounds.
