The article analyzes the conditions of major modern geothermal and hydrocarbon complexes, and the temperature and depth limits of phase state variations of hydrocarbon deposits. The paper then covers the possibility that separate prediction deposits of different fluid compositions exist in the observed area. Subsequently, it notes that temperature conditions have a significant influence on the processes associated with petroleum hydrocarbon deposits and placement of various physical and chemical composition, and phase state. The works of several authors – V.F. Erofeev (1970, 1973); V.S. Lazarev; V.D. Nalivkinym; S.G. Neruchev (1971); L.A. Polster; Yu.A Viskovsk; V. I. Vysotsk (1976) – on various regions have confirmed K.K. Landes’ pattern sets (1967, 1970.), which emplace oil and gas pools in vertical sections according to different temperature conditions. The research paper says that zoning is used to distribute the oil and gas supplies, depending on the geothermal regime, traced in both the vertical section and the area of productive complex development. Moreover, studies conducted in various oil and gas basins of ancient and modern platforms (such as the Ural-Volga, Dnieper-Donets Basin and Caucasus), have found that the predominant area of oil accumulation and allocation is either confined to areas of moderate temperatures (400–1000C) or of high temperatures (1100–1300 and more).
