The article discusses issues related to natural factors affecting the occurrence of gravitational processes on the territory of the Belgorod region. It is noted that the sliding of the land cover is characteristic of steep slopes, especially in the southern part of the region. Collapses are observed on steep and steep banks of natural and artificial reservoirs, as well as in ravines and quarries. The paper presents the distribution areas of modern gravitational processes. Based on the analysis of the data, it was concluded that not only natural factors influence the appearance of dangerous gravitational processes, but also human activity plays a large role. It is worth noting that in order to prevent the large - scale spread of the negative consequences of the manifestation of gravitational processes, it is important to conduct security and restrictive measures in time and establish engineering structures.
