The object of the study was the geoecological and geomorphological composition of solid municipal waste (MSW) of accumulation sites from multi - apartment buildings located on municipal lands of agglomerations of the Penza region. To perform the experiment, 9 control places (sites) of accumulation of TKO in the city of Penza region were selected: Penza. TCO sampling was conducted in November 2018 and April 2019. An experimental study of the morphological composition was carried out using the gravimetric method in accordance with PND F 16.3.55-08 FR.1.28.2015.19223. Comparison of the obtained experimental data on the fractional composition of MSW with the morphological composition of MSW, regulated by the Territorial Scheme of Waste Management in the Penza Region, confirmed the high content of waste fractions (more than 80 %), and also made it possible to adjust the percentage of fractions of food waste, polymers, glass and textile as part of MSW. The experimental data can be used by the heads of municipalities to optimize the container fleet and develop a register of places (sites) for accumulating MSW.
