The article deals with the problem of displacement of soil layers of urban water bodies, which leads to disruption and deterioration of the condition of near-bottom landscapes. The problem of providing the population of the Volga River basin with drinking water of normative quality and in sufficient quantity is increasing every year. The water quality of most surface water sources does not meet regulatory requirements. This is due to the violation of coastal strengthening structures, violation of the integrity of near-bottom landscapes.
