In 2012, in Yakutsk, the first cryostoragebuilt by using natural renewable sources of cold accumulated in the permafrost. Thisstorage not require the installation of expensive refrigeration equipment. The paper describes the construction of the underground cryostorage, installed in the permafrost. The structure and operation of the cooling equipment of the annual cooling of the working chambers of the cryostorageis described. The temperature regime of soils and air in the working chambers of the cryostorage for 5 years of operation has been considered. This has shown the reliability and efficiency of temperature control, maintaining the required temperatures without using refrigeration units.
