This article highlights the relevance of and use of spatial data. The requirements for modern cartographic support, as well as associated problems. Describes the situation that led to considerable difficulties when using spatial data and problems with integration from different sources of data needed to solve the problems of the state cadastre of real estate. The technique of mapping in order to create a spatial data infrastructure in the Astrakhan region, based on the principles and methods of integrated mapping. Also, the key capabilities and analysis intended result in the creation and development of spatial data infrastructure. Are actual examples, which will significantly reduce the cost of business entities for the creation, processing, storage and updating of spatial data by reducing the duplication of data collection on the same territory and the management of some facilities by accessibility and efficiency of spatial data in conjunction with the accounting system and documenting the entire geo-information and services available. The conclusions about the need to create in the Astrakhan region of spatial data infrastructure, due to the fact that this will increase the investment attractiveness of the region as a whole due to the formation and presentation of spatial object descriptions holistic management and areas of active use of modern tools for monitoring and integrated spatial analysis. Spatial data infrastructure in the Astrakhan region aimed at ensuring sustainable socio-economic development at the expense of efficiency, completeness and quality of information provision of public tasks using spatial data, technologies and tools for integrated spatial analysis, increase the effectiveness of management decisions to ensure sustainable social and economic development of the area.
