The article discusses the use of a new aluminosilicate-based sorbent (absorption material) to clear underground waters of toxic metal ions and organic pollutants. The sorbent was created by mixing 20 g of flask (crushed to sizes of up to 0,001mm in diameter), 20 g active BAU-4 coal, 60 g of Portland cement, and 10 g of water brine with a 10 % content of sodium chloride and a 10 % content of sodium chloride calcium. During the preparatory phase, all of the contents were mixed into a paste-like mass, with the latter then passed through a screw-breaking device. The obtained granules were then set aside, and left to dry at temperatures of 20–35° С. After weight hardening, the mixture was placed in flowing water to prevent it from undergoing a negative reaction to chloride ions. The received sorbent is being designed to clear the water of a large assortment of different impurities.
