The paper is devoted to the analysis of methods and results of the assessment of the wind power potential on the territory of the Crimean peninsula. In the course of the work, a large number of literature sources were considered, including atlases, monographs, specialized and review articles. The analysis of the quantitative estimates and cartographic material is presented in the form of a comparative table and shows a rather wide range of the determined values and obtained results. Such a result is justified by the availability of various techniques and source materials, as well as the level of calculations and modeling. More detailed studies are needed for the introduction of wind power plants at certain model sites, where other spatial factors, for example, the nature of the underlying surface, the barrier effect, enter into force.
